Basic Jung is a series of lectures taking place the first week of each semester during the late afternoon and early evening sessions. It is designed to be an intensive introduction to basic Jungian concepts and ways of working for new students and guests wanting a concise presentation of Analytical Psychology. Although designed as a series, each course can be attended independently.
After an introductory lecture on the fundamentals of Jungian Psychology the major working methods we use will be presented; working with dreams and art work and the investigation into archetypal themes in fairy tale. Jung considered the major cause of what was called at the time ‘neurosis’ to be a loss of meaning in a person’s life. This spiritual dimension will be looked into in depth. As a special event a dramatic reading from Jung’s memoirs will be enacted.
