It was discovered a little more than a hundred years ago but was known all along. If there was a simple formula for it, it would be something like this:

The unspoken – The unspeakable = Suffering

But it’s not that simple. This suffering is distinctly human, just like language is.

For it was discovered with language, and the discovery itself was a way of language.

Named the talking cure, psychanalysis and later, psych-o-analysis, it is the careful application and an even more careful abandon of words in order to allow the uttering of the unspoken. As language reflects upon its own layers, our language does the same. It reflects us, in layers.

That’s it.

I’m a medical doctor and analyst-in-training at ISAP who is willing to use this tool with you, this tool that discovers itself anew, uncovering us in the process. The supervised work that we do together will aim for the elaboration of the context in which you have found its necessity, or itself, necessary.
