My name is Gisele Kuriyama.
I am a Jungian psychoanalyst in training at the International School of Analytical Psychology (ISAPZURICH).
I was born in Brazil, with Italian, Japanese and Brazilian roots. I have two grown-up children, am married and currently live in Switzerland.
I'm a graduate pharmacist and initially worked as a researcher, and during that time I lived in Japan. When I returned to Brazil, I began an executive career in the pharmaceutical industry, which lasted more than 20 years.
During a personal crisis, I encountered Carl Gustav Jung's theory, which led me to a path of self-discovery. I learned to appreciate and respect the inner force within each of us striving for self-realization—what I call the soul. This marked the beginning of a thoughtful and consistent career transition, though long, it was made with care.
Life is a gift, a small miracle that is renewed every day. And every day it offers us new opportunities, whether good or bad. Experiences, as long as they are brought to consciousness, provide us with wisdom that is incorporated into our cells and helps us to face future challenges with greater security and autonomy. We're constantly challenged by life and it's up to us to make the choices.
My goal is to accompany you on your journey, helping you uncover the paths that lead to your true self. Together, we will explore answers to your questions, with empathetic listening and shared life experiences.
In addition to verbal therapy, dreams, active imagination, and art can help uncover unconscious content, where many hidden treasures await.
